Body painting is an art that almost eludes me..I can do it, but I'm never quite sure how I pull it off. Simple reason..I'm not a painter, I don't think in 2 dimensions, I'm a Sculptor, a 3 dimensional thinker. Perhaps that's why I can body paint. The female form is a work of art all in itself and a wonderful "canvas" to be able to create visions and images that trick the eye. Many Body painters use an airbrush for their work, it tends to create images that are a bit to generic and overused for me, while I do use the airbrush for certain things, I mainly use brushes and sponges, I find the look to be much more real and honest.
